If you already like Ayn Rand (author of Atlas Shrugged and The Fountainhead), you'll enjoy this coherently edited collection of her interviews on radio and television, spannding the decades of her life. For example: I have enjoyed Ayn Rand for years, and never knew, until now, of her interviews with Johnny Carson on the Tonight Show. (His attitude towards her was dignified, friendly -- and quite intelligent). I had read or seen her other interviews, but nothing is so powerful as the written word, especially when dealing with a mind as expansive as hers. If you don't know anything about Ayn Rand, are curious enough to know more but don't want to commit just yet to her major novels or philosopihcal essays -- this book is a great way to get a nice overview, applied to the issues of her day (which, philosohically speaking, are the same as our own).
