Martha [Stewart] isn't going to jail because of stock deals. Hillary Clinton did far more questionable things with cattle futures, using her pull as the wife of the governor of Arkansas. Yet Hillary will never see the inside of a courtroom as a defendant, much less a jail cell. So why Martha? The answer is easy. She's successful through her own efforts - not because of acquiring political power - and she encouraged happiness simply by enjoying life. She didn't marry a powerful politician and seek to impose her will on the country. She simply achieved, doing what she enjoyed and encouraging others to do the same. She didn't pretend to do it selflessly. She simply did it, marketed it wonderfully and, in the process, brought a lot of happiness to a lot of people. She was confident - and yes, a bit arrogant at times. Yet, these are no sins. You would think the feminists would rush to her defense. But the feminists know that Martha was a creature of capitalism, and they cannot stand capitalism because it suggests women do not need the power of government - or feminism - to achieve in life. Martha had no defenders except the millions who loved how she made their lives a little brighter. These people have no voice; they could file no lawsuit on her behalf. The cultural elites who despise everything that's good about this country have lots of power, and that's why they beat her.
