Whose Money Is It, Anyway?

Now let me make sure I understand. A Brooklyn woman suddenly discovers $700,000 in her bank account. Instead of telling authorities, she just assumes she won some kind of international lottery and proceeds to spend it. We're supposed to believe this? Even worse: the UN, who deposited the money into the lady's account by mistake, now wants it back. They claim it's their property right. Does the UN enjoy property rights, like you or I do? I don't think so. They get their money through force and intimidation -- mainly from the United States government. Then they use that money to morally and financially prop up mortal enemies of the U.S., such as China, Iran, Iraq and Cuba. The UN is a controversial ideological organization, funded by people through force -- not through voluntary donation, like other ideological organizations. Neither the Brooklyn lady nor the UN should keep the money. Of the two crooks, however, the UN is much worse. At least the lady is using the money to start a business and secure her child's education rather than prop up dictators who bash the United States. But the money really belongs to the people from whom it was taken in the first place: the taxpayers. (Date of publication unknown).
