This is not the time for turning the other cheek. It is not only stupid, but evil, to let these terrorist organizations and terrorist-enabling governments destroy us. The United States is the first and last beacon of freedom and individual rights in the world. We must fight for our lives, selfishly and proudly. In so doing, we will save freedom not only for ourselves but for the rest of the world. I am sorry that innocent people are going to die in the attacks that must take place. But self-survival comes first. We have a right to live and be free from terrorism. Those who live under these terrorist-supporting governments had better run for their lives - if our president truly means we are at war. There will be more bombings, more terrorism, more planes crashing - and much more than that. Things you cannot even conceive now that will make the last few days seem like a trip to the beach. This is the gravest moment in American history. At the end of World War II, we knew there were those who still wished to destroy us. We had the power to destroy them first, and we did. Using nuclear weapons to end World War II was the most horrifying, and the most necessary, action in history. We now know we must take the next step to protect freedom. If anything less than the most severe action is taken, we are truly finished.
