obama_frowningWe live in a world "where cruise ships throw away more food in a day than most residents of Port-au-Prince see in a year, where white folks' greed runs a world in need." These are the words of Rev. Jeremiah Wright, quoted favorably in Barack Obama's autobiography, "Dreams from My Father." If you think I exaggerate when I claim that the United States is closer to the brink than anyone will acknowledge with Barack Obama in charge of the government, then consider his attitudes as expressed in this quote.

These represent the views and the sentiments of the real Barack Obama, disguised (to some) by his style but not by one of his actions in office. Advocates of Barack's brand of socialism and fascism like to call the Tea Party rebels "racist" even though there's no evidence to support such a view. It is true that Tea Party rebels tend to be sympathetic to free markets and capitalism, which the liberal left equates with racism. This quote, and the favorable recognition given it by Barack in his autobiography, suggests the tired left-wing view that capitalism is racist and makes slaves of black people. Nothing could be further from the truth. It was the noncapitalist American South that required slavery, not the industrializing North of the 1800s. It was the capitalist North that saved the blacks of the South from slavery. In the 1900s it was local governments, not the profit-driven incentives of the free market, that imposed Jim Crow laws on the population. Likewise, it's capitalist countries like the USA where people of all races flourish far better than noncapitalist places (such as Port-au-Prince, Haiti). Anyone willing or able to work in America can flourish, and even many who are unable or unwilling to work can flourish. Nobody flourishes and many fail even to survive in noncapitalist countries. Is this what the liberal left and supporters of Barack really want for themselves and others?

Isn't it time that we stop electing people who oppose capitalism and try to make you feel guilty for benefiting from it? Barack himself benefited from capitalism more than anyone, yet he opposes it and undermines it more than just about any other President in American history. He would have nothing to denounce and redistribute if capitalism had not created all this prosperity in the first place. It’s time for capitalism to fight back—against Barack and his ilk.
