Think Your Way to Reality |

How you think about something does not change reality. But it does
change the way you interact with, and act in, reality. This will often
lead to real-life consequences. For example, you hear about "the
self-fulfilling prophecy." This is not magic or mysticism. This is what
happens when you expect negative things. If you expect negative things
to happen, you will only notice--or ascribe importance--to the
unpleasant and the negative. Not only will this drive pleasant and
positive people away; it will also lead you to tolerate and even
(perversely) embrace the negative--since this is "all there is." Your
outlook matters.
