| Daily Dose of Reason - Psychology & Self-Improvement | ||||
| Monday, 28 September 2009 00:00 | ||||
It's not what you think that causes psychological distress so much as HOW you think. Ideally, as a child in school, you would have learned the laws of logic and reason. You would have learned them so well that you'd now be applying them to daily life, not just abstract subjects. Because human education is so flawed, it's likely you learned more about religious faith or how to "socialize" with others than how to really think. Your schools and your teachers messed you up even more than your parents might have. That's why your mind needs fixing today. The key is to learn how to apply reason and logic to situation after situation in your life, big issues and small. It's the method that counts here, more than anything.
