Is happiness a choice? Not literally, in one fell swoop. But it definitely requires a choice. The choice is an ongoing commitment to see things as they are, and to make the most of how things are. If you approach life in the context of this commitment, you're not at the mercy of anything or anyone. You accept reality as a given, but you build on it the best that you can make it, and you do so for your own sake. This is what's required for happiness. And notice that it does involve choice.
