People are often afraid to change, even when change is necessary and rational. Take career, for instance. "I can't change my career. It would be an admission of failure!" Why is this? People often have more than one romantic partner/marriage in their lives—why can’t people have more than one career in their lives? Don’t think of change as necessarily a failure. Change is simply change. Failure is when you do something wrong. Even that's not a catastrophe, but change isn't failure. It just means it's time to move on.
