Daily Dose of Reason - Politics & Government

We're told that there's scientific proof of global warming. A majority of Americans, from what I can see, have bought into it.

Stand back and think about this. We're told that the weather can be forecast decades and centuries ahead. How is this possible? How can we be certain of the weather 50 years from now, without having any idea of the weather 10 days from now? This gives you an idea of why many scientists reject global warming, while others seriously question its conclusiveness. What's less clear is why most of the media and government only report the "conclusive findings" of those who believe in global warming. Yes, I know I'm not a scientist, but I am a psychotherapist and I know a hidden agenda when I see one. Al Gore is no scientist either, but he stands to make millions from the "green industry" generated by the premise that we know, for certain, the weather 50 and 100 years from now.

These are interesting times, indeed.
