Pay for my own insurance? I think not!

A recent poll shows that a solid majority of Americans now oppose personal savings accounts in lieu of Social Security. What this really amounts to is the following attitude: "I don't want to pay for my own retirement. I want someone else to pay for my retirement." Evidently it's better to have "someone else" pay for your retirement than to plan now for your own retirement, even if having "someone else" do it means the ultimate bankruptcy of everybody. And so we meet the dead end of the utopia promised all those years ago by advocates of "social insurance."

It's not the politicians. It's the majority of Americans who are evading reality and driving our country into the ground. The politicians are merely carrying out their orders.
