I want to congratulate you on your excellent column (Life's a Beach) that is  printed in the DE Wave. I have a Ph.D. in Child Dev. and Family Relations from PSU and  taught 37 years at [a university] and find your articles to be accurate and filled with common sense.  Oh should many other PH.D.'s in psychology be  as insightful as you.  I appreciate the time it takes to write such articles and wanted you to know that your work has not gone unnoticed.
